Not a Stellar Performer
Purchased this product based upon other reviewers' comments. In theory it seemed to be the right solution. In reality it worked only reasonably well. When contrasting to regular over the door traction devices, it may be less cumbersome and easier to use, but I am not sure it is as effective overall. Within two weeks one of the products release valves stopped working properly and shortly thereafter the other failed. Not a great solution or value.
TracCollar Review
This product was ordered because I was having pain in my shoulder/arm which the doctor said it stemmed from my neck. Stretching exercises for my neck was recommended. I purchased this product thinking it could help with my exercises.
When I ordered it I thought I was ordering a "new" product but when I received and opened the box, the item looked as if it had been used, returned and resealed. There were stains on the fabric part of the collar.
I did try it out and but it did not feel like my neck was being stretched. Instead it felt like the collar was choking my neck.
I would not recommend this product to anyone.
Still very pleased after more than 1 year of use.
I am even using this as I write this review. With an elasto gel cold pack underneath. Ah... relief before the day ahead. This has become a morning routine of mine when my neck/back are acting up.
I completely agree with WarmGingerTea's review. I also have a ~450 dollar traction device, but can only be used lying down - so it seldom comes out of the closet anymore. This great device can be used sitting or even walking around. If I have a stiff pulled neck muscle along with the usual disc/nerve compression problems. I will wear this around the house as I do chores, let the dogs out, etc.
Well built, adjustable, easy to use. Now if only someone could come up with a portable way to do the entire back other than inversion...
works just as intended
This is a great cervical collar. It works so great that my chiropractor has decided to carry the line in his inventory for his other patients!
