TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY! Might as well invest in a $22 pillow, you'll be getting more for your money!
Short and Sweet: DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! I have serious neck and lower back problems, I am on permanent disability due to my lower back issues and have just developed the neck issues over the past 3 years. Every single disc in the C section of my spine (the neck section) is damaged in one way or another and this, along with stress, causes serious tension in my neck and shoulders. I researched this product for a while prior to making the purchase out of desperation to find anything that could possible help, even if it only helped a little bit. I read the reviews and thought this would be a worthwhile purchase, why else would it receive such high ratings? Well, after using the product multiple times, I can now ask again...WHY WOULD THIS PRODUCT GET SUCH HIGH RATINGS?? It is a total and complete waste of money and time! I've been to the chiropractor and physical therapists many times, I am very familiar with the routine of them cradling my head/neck and lightly pulling (traction) to release tension and relax the muscles, as this product purports to do...WHAT A SHAM! This is absolutely nothing like that! This product does NOTHING for my neck, shoulders, jaw or anything for that matter!! If you are anything like me and you are in pain, seeking out anything you can possibly do to help relieve it at all...PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS! Spend your money on something else, something that has a better chance of working. I have seen pump inflated neck traction devices for close to the price of this product, I have not yet tried one, but that will be my next purchase in an attempt to help my pain. I wish I would have never bought this product, it is a cheap plastic form with low quality foam glued to it and when you lay your head/neck on it you feel no more relief than you would from putting your head on a $2.50 travel pillow. I am so disappointed that companies are allowed to produce and market products with the false offerings of relief from pain (even if very short, temporary relief...THIS OFFERS NO RELIEF AT ALL!) For those of you who have rated this product highly and say that it works for you, I'm glad that you have found something....but after having used it myself, I'm beginning to think that your problems are all in your head, not your neck or shoulders! IT DOESN'T WORK!

Amazing! Stiff neck gone, Sinuses open... I can breathe and move!
Seriously, after 10 minutes on this thing I felt like I'd just had a great adjustment from my chiropractor... and it cost less than one visit to see him!

It hits that perfect spot that opens up my sinues... relaxes my neck and shoulders... I felt like I'd had a great nap when I got up!

    This thing is wonderful!

    Good but effects are subtle
I've chronic neck ache probably due to sitting in front of the computer for long hours and was hoping this product would alleviate the ache. I use it almost every other day for around 15min at a time. It does feel comfortable, but I don't feel my muscles being stretched enough. There is some loosening of tension at the neck region but in my case, it seems to make little difference.

    Not effective for me
First, I think this item is way overpriced. It's basically a molded sheet of metal with some foam stuck on it.

Aside from that, I didn't find it effective in reducing any tension or discomfort in my neck.

I imagine it's intended to use while laying on one's back on a hard flat surface, but how many of us want to do that just to relieve some neck pain.

Laying in bed with the neck rest was not possible as the angle was just not right.

    I'm sending this back.

    Does very little - here's a comparison
From my wife Sarah: I'm reviewing three devices including the Real Ease Neck Support, all of which I have.

I purchased the REAL-EaSE Neck Support unit years ago after reading glowing reviews on this website. It did virtually nothing for me. It did not help with neck pain, nor did it help with headaches. However it appears that some other reviewers got some results. I'm guessing that these are people who have less advanced neck issues or stress related pain.

About a year ago I was looking into going for traction for neck pain and slipped discs in my neck. A recent MRI showed 5 discs out in my neck, with two touching the spinal cord. I found a chiropracter offering the newer traction type table who told me I'd need to come 4 times a week for a while. He showed me the traction machine. In the course of doing some web research I found the Comfortrac unit NEW Model ComforTrac Home Cervical Traction Device. It pretty much looked just like what the chiropracter had, it appeared to do the same thing, and my osteopath approved it for my condition, so I bought it.

I found that it really provided me with some relief, however with my condition this was always temporary. Depending on my condition there are times it didn't work at all, but this machine gave me more relief than anything else I had tried except for chiro or osteo adjustments. I could feel it stretching the muscles, and I even would get some cracking in my neck, followed by some relief. I would definitely recommend this unit. Though it's far more expensive than the Real-Ease I found it to be worth it.

I also own the Posture Pump-Cervical Traction Device. This gives you traction in a different way - by creating a curve in your neck to open up the disks. If I had to choose between the two machines, I'd pick the Comfortrac device because it really seemed to have more impact. The lengthening strectch gave me more relief than the arching stretch. However I felt for me that they worked even better together since each does something different for me. I would start out on the Comfortrac and then spend some time on the Posture pump. Using both of these worked better than using either one by itself.

I am dealing with TMJ, and both of these devices work fine without irritating my jaw. They can be used in a modified way to avoid placing pressure on the jaw. Both are very easy to use.

After struggling with severe neck pain, headaches and TMJ for decades, I recently heard about a technique called Atlas Orthogonal practiced by only about 250 doctors in the country. A friend of mine got completely pain free after 28 years of severe pain from an accident. I found someone in my area who practices Advanced Atlas Orthogonal, and had it done. It has provided me with more relief than anything I've tried in over 25 years, including many chiropracters, osteopathic adjustments, accupuncture, cranial sacral therapy, physical therapy and the list goes on. It stopped the headaches as long as my neck is in place - I need the atlas periodically adjusted again and still have other spine and neck issues. However it reduced the pain throughout my neck, jaw and body SUBSTANTIALLY. I STRONGLY suggest anyone with neck or jaw pain look into this. It's a blooming miracle.
