wheelchair for mom
Glad we bought this chair for mom, because she's been very stubborn about purchasing it on her own, even though she really needs it. This will help me take her shopping or with any other places she needs to go that involve more walking than she can handle. Price was right and it is very easy to put in and out of the car, and easy to unfold.
Transport Wheel chair
This transport chair is wonderful. My friend had a heavy wheel chair that was to heavy for me to get in and out of their van. I can pick up the transport wheel chair with little effort. She uses it around the house also and is very easy to push. It has been a life saver for all of us.

I purchased this to be able to take my 93 year old mother shopping and to help get her out of the house in into the world. Her regular wheel chair is way too heavy to lift in and out of the car. She now has a lot more freedom to go places with this.
New model not as pictured
Things to be aware of when ordering this chair... The burgundy chair I ordered was not the one that was pictured. If you click on 'red', a blue one will appear. That is the new style; the handles stick out at about a 35 degree angle (awkward) and on the box it is described as EXTRA WIDE, which it is! I got the color I ordered, but many other things were different. There is a big gap between the back and the seat; you will need something like a lumbar cushion to make the chair comfortable. The chair, with the footrests, weighs 24 lbs, not 14.8 lbs. Be aware that if yours is coming from Wheelchairs Plus, they charge a 25% restocking fee if you decide to return it. Return shipping is at your expense; for me it was about $25. I wish I would have known all of this before ordering this chair. Be careful if your product is coming from an outside vendor.
Fantastic Light Weight Wheelchair
The Light 14.8 lbs Medline Freedom Transport Wheelchair 300 lb Cap Chair, BLUE is a fantastic chair. Much lighter than the transport wheelchair provided by insurance and the color is a beautiful bright blue. I was so impressed by the chair I bought for a friend that I bought a second one for my father. I bought the two chairs through amazon.com from Giga Dollar. The first chair was shipped 2 hours after I ordered it and the second one was shipped within 4 hours after I ordered it.
